Q3: How are you managing your arthritis?
I don't have arthritis; I have rheumatoid arthritis, which is a systemic autoimmune disease. I hate the name because people often confuse it with arthritis or osteoarthritis.
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a systemic autoimmune disease that affects more than just the joints, unlike osteoarthritis (OA), which is a degenerative joint disease. RA can lead to inflammation and damage in other parts of the body, such as the lungs, heart, and eyes. The term "arthritis" often leads to confusion because it generally refers to joint inflammation, which includes both RA and OA, but they are different conditions with different underlying causes and treatments.
I am currently on and have been taking LDN for years now. It's a non-toxic drug that helps modulate the immune system and has virtually no side effects other than vivid dreams. Most conventional doctors don't recommend it. You have to go to a holistic practitioner, naturopath or a compound pharmacy.
Other than that, I have been managing it through diet and lifestyle. I've had it for 16 years now so I know my triggers.

Q4: How do you tell when your skin barrier has healed on your face?
As I mentioned, our skin is designed to keep more things out than in. When our skin barrier is damaged it can't protect us as it normally would, creating inflammation, redness, allergies, acne, melasma, and even wrinkles. Therefor, when your skin barrier has healed, you might notice several signs:
1. Reduced sensitivity: your skin becomes less sensitive to irritants and environmental factors.
2. Improved hydration: the skin feels more bouncy, supple & glowing.
3. Decreased redness and inflammation: redness and inflammation associated with damaged skin diminish.
4. Smoother texture: any roughness or flakiness on the skin surface improves.
5. Enhanced resilience: your skin is better able to protect itself from external stressors.

Q5: What was your morning routine while being pregnant?
My morning rituals are pretty similar whether I'm prego or not. The only difference is I was not working as much, allowing me time to tune in and prepare for labor and the baby.
1. Upon waking, I listened to the hypnobirthing meditation (normally I would listen to another guided meditation or just meditate).
2. Oil pulling, brushing teeth, tongue scraping. Oral hygiene is even more important during the hormonal shifts of pregnancy. Clean sleep from my eyes, maybe rinse my face with cold water then mist with Aura Beauty Mist.
3. I always eat within 30 minutes of waking. I was eating a little more those days to make sure I was getting all my nutrients, but not much more than usual and I am continuing to eat more as I breastfeed.
4. I usually eat breakfast outside, otherwise I'll get my morning sun after, allowing my eyes, skin, yoni, and all to receive the sun for about 10 minutes. It was quite warm here during most of my pregnancy, so I limited how much sun the baby got, usually I would sit outside a little longer.
5. Then I would do my prenatal stretching, yoga, light weight training or take the dogs for a walk.
